Johnson out against Colts

Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson will miss the team’s Christmas Eve matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

It’s the second straight game that Johnson will miss after re-injuring a hamstring that has bothered him much of the year.

Without Johnson last week, the Texans took a big hit in a surprising loss at home to the Carolina Panthers.

The win very likely cost the Texans any chance at one of the top seeds in the AFC, a first-round bye and homefield advantage.

The Texans have already clinched the division title and playoff berth, so they are probably content to let Johnson return for the postseason.
